I am no expert on smoking or sex. In addition, there is not enough material on this subject to make any real conclusions. My impressions are that some women do find smoking sexy.  Some women even play with lighted cigarettes during sex play and this is considered to be extremely erotic. There are countless photos of sexy girls smoking who have posed naked and/or having sEx. Some women who do smoke during intercourse and find the habit intensely erotic and brings out the maximum sex appeal. Many of these women like to be dominant in bed and go to great lengths to please their men.  All I can tell you that no matter how sexy smoking may appear in bed, but once you have been burnt by a cigarette, the thrill will quickly disappear. Smoking and the bed are a bad combination and should be avoided.

Different strokes for different folks. The bottom line is that smoking may appear sexy, but the smell on the person is nauseating.

Can the herbal plant Tongkat Ali improve sex drive?

Tongkat Ali also known as Eurycoma Longifola has been widely used in SE Asia as an aphrodisiac. It is considered to be Malaysia’s equivalent of Viagra. It has also been used to treat diabetes, fever and bacterial infections. Work in rats indicate that perhaps it may enhance libido. Whether it works in humans is anyone’s guess.

A few facts that you need to know about eurycoma longifola- there are many fake products with a variety of dangerous contaminants in it including mercury. The USA FDA has banned all tongkat ali products from the market. I have no idea whether it works but while I worked in Malaysia, my patients were instead asking for Viagra prescriptions-that should tell you something. My best advice is that the herbal market is infiltrated with a lots of fakes and counterfeit products. In addition, there is no quality control in the health supplement industry.

While some products may enhance your libido, you may also end up going blind or having a heart attack. Definitely, do not recommend this crap.

Do you know if Red Ginseng works for erectile failure?

Red ginseng is a popular herb in the Orient. The herb is peeled and undergoes extraction by boiling and drying. Drying makes the herb brittle which makes it easy to chew. 

In the Orient, red ginseng is often used to treat a variety of sexual disorders including erectile failure. One small study revealed that it does wonders for about 60% of men in producing a decent erection.  However, I am skeptical of this study. 

The only way to know if red ginseng works is to try it out. So far, most anecdotal reports from my patients indicate that it does JACK SHIT. So, if you have some money to burn and want to try something new, buy some red ginseng. Who knows your spouse and you may be lucky. 

Moreover, if it does not work, you will hopefully learn that not everything on the Internet is TRUE.

I have heard that yohimbine works as an aphrodisiac. Is this true?

Yohimbine is a very old drug and is extracted from the bark of the plant, Corynanthe Yohimbine. This drug was once used to lower blood pressure and in fact was also used to treat male impotence. Unfortunately, it performed abysmally as a sex stimulant. The drug is no longer on the market as it does have serious side effects. Definitely not a recommended product to boost sex life.

My friends insist that eating oysters enhances their sex life. Is this true?

Unless your friends are mermaids, they are talking from their backside (arse). Because Aphrodite was said to be born from the sea, many types of seafood have reputations as aphrodisiacs. Oysters are particularly esteemed as sex aids, possibly gaining their reputation at a time when their contribution of zinc to the nutritionally deficient diets of the day could improve overall health and so lead to an increased sex drive. So far, the buzz from oysters is an illusion. 

If your sex life sucks, then either you need a new partner or a sex toy.
