I am on elavil
for my anxiety and it works well, how long can I take it for?
Elavil has
been around for many decades and is a great medication for many mental health
disorders. It is a good sleeping pill, antidepressant and works well for
certain pain syndromes. Adverse effects include mouth dryness, constipation and
slight weight gain. If you are tolerating it and have no problems, you can
remain on it for as long you like. However, you should get the basic blood work
and ECG on a regular basis. It also causes weight gain, so do exercise
regularly.
