Recently on a trip to
india I was told to take olive oil for my underactive thyroid. Does it work?
Indian is land of mystery. While they do have
good doctors, the field of healthcare is in disarray with homeopaths, naturopaths,
yogis, mother in laws, father in laws, uncles, aunts, etc all giving out
medical advice and recommending treatment. Indians do tend to have strong
beliefs in taking food products to maintain good health, but in many cases,
this is a false notion. There is nothing wrong in taking olive oil in limited
amounts, but it has no medicinal property. There is ZERO evidence that olive
oil can reverse your low functioning thyroid gland. Best advice, go to a proper
qualified doctor and get a prescription for a thyroid supplement
