i am on lithium but often
develop tremors. Is there something else I can take that won’t cause tremors or
weight gain?
Lithium even at therapeutic concentrations can sometimes induce tremors. If the tremors affect your life, then the drug may have to be discontinued. The one advantage of lithium is that it does not cause weight gain. If you go off lithium, you may need to go on an anticonvulsant like depakoate or an atypical antipsychotic- all these drugs cause weight gain- big time.
