Can I use TENS to treat pain from fibromyalgia? My doctor
highly recommended it
Your doctor is a first class fool and an idiot. TENS is a fraud. It does
nothing for the majority of people, the device is expensive and is a complete
waste of money. The pain in fibromyalgia is in the deeper muscles and tendons.
Moreover, the pain in fibromyalgia is not localized to one particular area and
thus, TENS is unlikely to work. If you have any common sense, stop listening to
your doctor and see a reputable rheumatologist. The treatment of fibromyalgia
is complex but essentially revolves around pain control and restoring
normal sleep pattern. TENS does not do either. All I can tell you is that
doctors who recommend TENS are either stupid, frauds or simply do not give a crap
about you.
