No there is nothing else. All antidepressants cause weight gain. While some doctors do prescribe effexor or bupropion, these medications are no different; over the long run- they will also cause weight gain. The only solution is to eat less, and walk more. Please do not listen to the BS by doctors who claim that these pills do not cause weight gain. So far, every antidepressant is known to cause weight gain.
