Omega acids and resveratrol

-->
My dietician has recommended that I take omega 3 fatty acids and resveratrol to lower my lipids. Is there anything cheaper?

Oh, please; Dietitians are not doctors and are not allowed to dispense medical advice. They lack the most basic knowledge in medicine. Do not listen to this fool, otherwise you will be spending a fortune each month on supplements that may not even work. Consuming omega 3 fatty acids and resveratrol can be very expensive. If you do not have high levels of lipids, you do not need to take this crap. If you have high lipids, I suggest you first start to walk more, eat less and lose weight. Give exercise a try for at least 3 months because it does work. Only if you have high lipids despite exercise, then you should see a physician and get started on a statin. There are generic medications to lower lipids that are cheaper than the over the counter omega 3 acids. Plus, most insurance plans cover these drugs.
